Which MSC Nastran cards are not accepted in NX Nastran?

Hello,

After the split in 2002, both MSC and UGS/NX started developing their own respective versions of nastran. Therefore, NX Nastran 6 is equivalent to MSC Nastran 2001.
But what is their current status, in terms of similarity between the two? Although, both the nastrans have 90% of the same functions, I am looking for the differences in terms of which control cards are accepted in one and not in the other.

Your nightmare begins.

You will have to go through NX Nastran Release Guides 3-7 to get an idea of the cards NX played with and changed. I had to do this and it was a nightmare. Fortunately we switched back to MSC Nastran when we realized this was going to kill us.

When MSC Nastran came out with a new card, NX Nastran would sometimes use the same new card name, but not always with the same field inputs.

Just be careful.
