Want to use blue gylon but not sure if it is good enough.

Try calling your local gasket supplier, for one thing.

I don't know about the alternatives, but we had stick shock last time we bought any blue gylon- stuff was expensive.

For 10% to 93 % concentrations not to exceed 175 deg f we use Garlock "Gylon" 3504 which is blue.

I agree with Jstephen though just phone your gasket manufacturer if in doubt.

As a side note make sure you use safety shields on the flange joints - expecially in high traffic areas to prevent spraying.

Gylon 3500 (Fawn) and 3504 (Blue) are both compatible. Neither one will seal well with plastic, or PTFE lined flanges. If you have non-metallic or lined flanges, you may want to look at an expanded PTFE material like GORE-TEX or Inertex. No worry with compatibility with these 100% ePTFE materials.
