where to get power pole? 3

Im having a tough time finding a source for power poles. 40ft. Internet search doesnt turn up much for a "power pole" querie. Im in So CAl. I have located some used poles but am concerned about grading them. Is there a standard for grading so I dont buy pig in a poke?

Ask Edison or DWP for a 1 or 2 of their vendors. That explains 4800V. You might search for someone familiar with G.O. 95 to keep you tit out of the wringer regulation-wise. The work is essentially outside of the typical NEC scope.

OK, suggested is the work be done by a licensed electrical contractor with poleline experience. I don’t think the utility providing the 480V service at the property boundary is going buy into your plan without an electrical inspection on the circuit(s) and equipment [pump, controller, transfomer sets, line with grounding and guying, cutouts, arresters, disconnecting means, LV service entrance, et cetera.] Even in Muleshoe County, the local inspection authority will probably want to see some engineered construction drawings {maybe with a PE stamp} and accept the design before anyone picks up a shovel. No personal offense intended, but it sounds like you may be in too deep before the work is even started.

Are you looking for wood or concrete? There are several manufacturers of wood poles in East Texas and Louisiana. Search for "southern pine creosoting" or "creosote company". I used to frame the bare timber per utility specifications prior to pressure treatment at a creosoting company in my youth. If you're in So-Cal looking for a treated wood pole, have you considered the environmental impact? All the treatment material I've been subjected to is nasty.
