John-Thanks for your answer, as i have been researching the Simplify Body command for a tip document that i am editing for NX5. I am a bit confused though-the GTAC documentation (shown below) indicates that Simplify Body is still available by setting a switch (NX5 and above).
Little confused by this- is or isn't it going to be there?

The problem where Simplify no longer exists under Direct Modeling in NX5 is fixed in NX6.
The decision has been made to restore Simplify Body to NX using an environment variable (Local Scale will be restored by making it avaialble to Customize). This information will be made available via a SFB (software field bulletin).
A request has also been made to include the following text to show "how to create a core from a cavity with Delete Face" in the SFB and in the Delete Face help:
"Note that you can work the way you want with the new Delete Face function using the same number of keystrokes, IF you use the Selection Intent rule 'Region Faces', as long as you remember that your 'seed' face is NOW from the set of faces to be removed, whereas in Simplify Body it was part of the set of faces to be retained. And like in Simplify Body you had to UNSELECT the region face before hitting OK, now you have to remember to add (select) the region face so that it's included in the set of faces to be deleted, again, this results in the same number of picks, just a different philosophy in terms of identifying which faces are going to be doing what. Other than that, the final results are exactly the same."
A version of this text will be added to Delete Face in the NX6 help.
