When designing spherical vessel with PV elite we shall fill the straight flange length.

We know what code do not require straight flange for spherical shell.

1- to meet the code and PV elite engineering practices, what's the value we shall introduce for straight flange length?

Otherwise and for wind deflection calculation, PV elite use the straight flange length as structure height but zorella indicate that L is the structure height. If we introduce zero as straight flange all calculation and verification remain failed for wind and stress calculation.

2- What shall I do to perform wind calculation for sphere and it's legs?

The sphere has no cylindrical part.

Absolutely the sphere has no cylindrical part and the straight flange shall be zero.
But if you introduce 0 in straight flange PV elite consider that the vessel height is zero for wind calculation and vessel allowable deflection by wind will be near zero (0.0006 mm for 20m height) if we consider 6"/100 feet.

Sorry I don't use Pv elite. I use my own program.
