On 10" pipe the Heat# says
Grade/Method
X42/X52 WLD
My question is what wps to use, the one for X42 or the wps for greater than x42 less than x65.
Thanks

Depends on several factors:

1. Assuming all materials are the dual grade X42/X52 and the design is based on X42, an X42 procedure could be used. If the design is based on X52, use a WPS qualified for that material. In general, though, a WPS for the > X42 to < X65 group would be used to match and document pipe/consummable properties.

2. If dual grade X42/X52 is welded to X65 or higher, use a WPS based on the highest rated material.
