Furnace Details
Zinc capacity - 294 MT at 452 deg C
Kettle size - 7 (L)x 2.5 (W) x 2.5 (D)meters (50 mm thick)
Burner - 4 nos Diagonally opposite.
Furnace casing (length) - 8.16 meters
Furnace casing (width) - 4.07 meters
Furnace casing (depth) - 2.79 meters
Furnace gallery between kettle & insulation - 300 mm
Throughput inclusive of jig weight - 8 MT / Hrs.
Combustion air blower - 10 hp - 2400 Nmtr3/hrs

What should be the burner capacity in kW?
What is the heat input needed to run this furnace?

How is it that you know the combustion air blower capacity and not the burner capacity? What type of fuel? If it is natural gas then you could back into a theoretical maximum burner capacity by assuming 10:1 ratio of air to fuel.

Is this for school?

Even if someone solved the problem, how would you verify that what you were told was right?

If you read through thread391-251852, you'll notice there are a number of links to websites. I suggest you visit those websites and try solving the problem yourself.
