I wanted to know that what should be the minimum distance to be kept between two welds if i am performing welding on a horizontal plate of thickness 6 mm (mild steel) & also at right angle joint(fillet weld).

i thick keeping the two welds more closer to each other will deteriorate its durability and also changes the molecular structure of base metal.

please lemme know if it is alright to perform the two joints adjacent to each other also.
