What is the difference between a T-port valve and a divert valve?

I am under the impression that the two are different and are for different applications but when looking at the valves they apear to do the same thing unless I'm missing something?

Recommended for you

A diverter valve is mostly a y-type valve used for conveying systems.
A t-port is mostly used in smaller proceslines where flowresistance is not really an issue.
