what is the best way to weld a steel tube spout 20mm dia into a hole on a mild steel pressing thk 1.25mm, This operation is required to be repetative 10000/day
The fastest way is projection welding if the parts can be made to accomodate the process. That will require that the tube have an area that can be displaced down onto the other part. This provides the filler material for the weld.
If the part can't be made in a way that allows this you are probably looking at robotic MIG welding.
Thanks Steve I think projection welding may be the way to go, Where can I find more about the process, These are small repetition pressed parts can you help further?
Thanks
Darren.
