What is the approximate force (torque) to turn this thing?

I am doing a design project in school and want to use a motor replacing turning effort by user. website:

I want to find (estimate) the force (torque) to turn this thing in soft or hard soil

Why don't you try and do some work yourself by heading to the local hardware store and getting a demonstration? TTFN
