Master Modeling is when you use one part file to define multiple parts. This works really well for consumer product designs.

The general workflow is that you make your design as one solid body, and then you split it up to create your upper piece, lower piece, side pieces and so on.
Then you get multiple solid bodies which you can export out as separate individual parts, and then put those in an assembly.

The individual parts will have one feature in them that references the single part file with all the bodies and after that you can add all the details like ribs, mounting bosses to detail and finish the part.
