We have a customer who has asked us if our equipment could be in compliance with EN 10204/3.1B formally DIN 50049/3.1A/3.1B/3.1C. Does anyone know what this is or means?
EN 10204 METALLIC PRODUCTS - TYPES OF INSPECTION DOCUMENTS is the name of the standard. I believe what you meant to say was "...formerly DIN 50409...", as EN 10204 superceded DIN 50049 INSPECTION DOCUMENTS FOR THE DELIVERY OF METALLIC PRODUCTS. FYI, EN standards are adopted by the various national standards organizations (DIN, BS, etc.) so you would purchase BS EN 10204 or DIN EN 10204, not just EN 10204. You can obtain more information on EN 10204 and DIN 50049 using the following links:
Dear Grandnobi, thanks for the info, i appreciate it a lot.
