Hi Guys
In one of the previous releases, there was a red blinking dot that as you scrolled aroung the drawing would help keep you up to date as to what side of the datum you are on..

Im wondering if when detailing are there any automatic ways of having Solidworks confirm the datum selectionas being "More Automatic"

Comments please!!

?? Blinking datum. I have never seen it or heard of it? Has anyone else seen it?

About the only thing I can think of is dynamic highlighting, where you move your pointer over some end point or line and it will highlight (default color is red). Is this what you are talking about asthespindleturns?

mad mango

This must be what I saw!! Is there a way to set it up??

Cheers!!

I'm not 100% sure, but try System Options>Display/Selection and make sure you have the follwing two checked:

Highlight all edges of features selected in graphics view
Dynamic highlight from graphics view

OK so it was "Dynamic Highlighting" Getting closer..

It was a nice feature to use when you are moving around the part during the drawing detail.

Still dont have it turned on again but will respond back when i do. I'm surprised that those of you who detail prints havent been using it!!!
