What does voltage factor in a PT/VT mean? 3

I have seen on PT's/VT's specs, voltage factor 1.2 cont., 1.5/30 sec.

Does it mean the PT/VT can withstand 1.2 times rated voltage continuously and 1.5 times for 30 seconds?

A1. This term " voltage factor " does not appeared in the IEC 61558-1 (1998-07) publication.
I have in hand BS 7625 : 1993 page 11, Clause 7 " Standard values of rated voltage factor " including Table I with details.
This BS Std. is a very old publication. The term may had been removed in the later IEC publications.
You may like to refer to the above BS publication to have some information pertaining to this term.

Yes, that is what it means.

Normally called Over-Voltage Factor - OVF

The nameplate value is the nominal system voltage for application. The 1.2 continuous rating allows for 20% overvoltage from the nominal without damage.
 
The voltage listed on the nameplate should be the Rated Voltage. The OVF is how many times the Rated Voltage the unit can be operated at with a given duration.
