Welds in ProMechanica

Can anyone give some information on welds that are added to a assembly using the pro welding modethen the assembly is ran in promechanica does the assembly need welds added from promechanica or will they already be recognized because they were added in pro welding mode. Also does anyone know of some good tutorials for promechanica that deal with running FEA on assemblies.
