I have designed weld for two pieces of structural steel.
Now my boss is asking me to have those members Stainless steel, does this make any changes in size, length of weld or they stay the same?

Sure it does, different materials means different allowable stresses, which means different load-carrying capability and different size welds. Also, a new WPS needs to be used as well as selection of a proper filler metal.
