Should welding symbols for fillet welds always be shows perpendicular to the weld bead on the drawing unless you're specifying specific lengths?
I'm looking at AWS A2.4 Figure 32 A-E - is the welding symbol applied in that orientation because it's easier to illustrate the point for the document? Would it be wrong to point the leader to the edge parallel to the weld bead like Figure 32 F for a full length weld?
