Welding steel castings to A513 steel tubing

Need some advice and references if available on the proper welding techniques for fabricating 1020 annealed castings to A513 1008/1010 steel tubing. Are there any reasons for not doing this? This is are first experience with steel castings. We have fabricated brackets and parts that are similar in chemical and mechanical properties and feel that this will be a good choice. If anyone has direct experience I would like to discuss this further.
