Dear All,

We need to weld an L-80 Type-1 tubing to an AISI 4130 Hammer Union. This assembly will be used on a well testing package vent/flare line.

We already have the WPS and supporting PQR for base metal AISI 4130 or its equivalent. Post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) will be carried out, and our engineering contractor has successfully performed this for other operators.

Do you foresee any issues with this approach?

Best regards,

This should be fine, as long as the chemistry, mechanical properties, and tempering temperature of the L80 tubing are suitable for your qualified WPS and PWHT temperature.
