I need to design some fillet welds to weld (2) stainless steel tube sections together. What is the allowable design equation for shear and tension?

Thanks

T.

Isn't it the same as for normal steel? ASCE has a publication on stainless, but that was mainly for stainless allowable stresses.

Oh yeah, exactly how are you going to put a fillet weld in tension?
