Welding detail.for 900 # Vessel

1.Kindly teach me regarding the welding joint detail for 36mm thk shell plate (316L) of 900 # vessel.

2.If the lifting lug is touching the capping of the welding joint b/w ellipsoidal head and shell of the vessel,than is it allowed to flush the capping to keep the lifting lug straight?Vessel is 800 mm od and TTL is approx.2.8m and 900 #.

If you mean the weld joint detail used during fabrication of the vessel shell welds, the answer is that they should be full penetration welds with a joint configuration of a single-vee or double-vee configuration.

Yes, the weld cap can be ground flush to improve fit-up with a lifting lug.
