welding a 3/4" wt Float Shoe onto a 1.5" or 1.0" wt 30" Casi

We have a 3/4" float shoe to be joined to a casing that's either 1" or 1.5" thick. The O.D are both 30" but I'm concearned about the difference that would occur in the I.D at the welded area.

Could you give more detail ie materials,physical size etc

both materials are 4130 @ a 30" diameter.
