Hello all,

I have a number of small bore pentrations to make in an 18" sch 40 line, I had been planing on using weldolets and socklets depending on size, however I notice sch 40 is not listed in the fitting class of MSS SP-97.

I need the full wall thickness of sch 40 for my service and I really don't want to use repads on such small connections.

I am looking for input as to what direction to go, it seems like I may be able to get schedual 40 Weld-O-lets custom made but I can't believe I am the first one who has had this issue pop up.

Any help and direction from the more experienced would be greatly appreciated.

Are you talking about True Sch.40 (.562" wall), or Sch.40S & STD (.375" wall) pipe?

You do not need to worry about them "Not" listing sch 40 on the run side.

When you order provide the following information
- Run size and Schedule (example: 18" Sch 40)
- Branch size and schedule (example: 4" sch 80)
- Item name (Weld-O Let)
- Material (Carbon Steel)
- Code (optional) (example: ASME B31.3)
- Quantity (6 Required)

They (BonnyForge/WFI) are pretty smart and will give you what you need.
