Hi experts ,
We are facing a weight issue in part family members. Part family members were created in NX 9 and SOLID_DENSITY attribute is used to populate the weights.
In the current version NX1872 when the part family template and members are opened, NX is throwing "New Iray+Ray Traced Studio rendering" message, Surprisinlgy weight is becoming zero.
Can somebody advise on this issue how to get weights for part family members in NX1872. "New Iray" messasge image is attached.

That message only means rendering material and has nothing to do with density or physical material properties. ( sadly there is no connection between)
In NX there is an old definition Menu- edit -feature- solid density. check that, probably 0 in your template.
If you want to set a physical material "such as Steel 316" or similar and change that in the part family table such that different members has different materials, you need to set a name on the body that contains that material .
Else if all members has the same material, all you need to do is apply that physical material to the part family template.it will propagate to the members. (to the body, remember that NX parts can contain any number of solid bodies.)
also, when NX updates a PF member, it will not really do a true update of the member but instead delete the file and create a new in the same location.
this might affect some actions. ( unclear if it matters to you)

Regards,
Tomas
