Wedge Anchors in CMU?

Are there any wedge anchors that can be used in typical CMU's? Loads I am dealing with are very low....a few hundred pounds in shear.

Yes there are some - Hilti has a "sleeve anchor" that has a longer sheathing that expands, when compared with the more typical "bulb" of expansion at the end of the anchor for concrete applications.

These are mechanical anchors - there are also many screw-type and adhesive anchors that you could consider.

Unless the wall is fully grouted, I would not use any expansive anchors in a CMU wall for the same reason you don't put an expansion anchor next to the edge of any concrete.

I agree and I am checking on drawings to see if the wall is grouted.

If it's not grouted, or old/unknown CMU or brick, I always use a sleeve anchor with epoxy, like HILTI HIT-HY 20 or 70. Way less issues with busting out the blocks.
