Hello,

Is there any quick formula to roughly estimate the sloshing effect in a tetragonal (no cilindrical/esferical) shape tank? I know the peak acceleration; but I need to make an initial estimate as to how height the waves may be. I am not an expert in this area at all, so it does not need to be extremely accurate. If someone can share a 'follow the arrow' steps, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks !!

I think you'd have to approximate it as a cylinder. It will be adequate for wave height approximations, but the corner stresses in the wall-to-wall corners will be a bit higher in the tretra tank.
