Hi,

I would like to have people opinion about clause 4.4.4 of CSA S6:19. The standard use the fondamental period of the structure to dtermine the performance categorie. See screen shot below. How much mode would more than consider to categorize your bridge according to the table 4.10? I am doing the evaluation of a suspended pedestrian bridge and the 9 first modes have period greater than 0,5s but I need to go to more than 100 modes in the modal analysis of my structure to get to 90% of the mass so I necessarily get mode with period very small. Do you think only the first mode should be used to categorize the structure.
