W SECTION

In steel construction manual,there are 2 values for each dimension of W section, like depth d, flange thickness tf, etc..
Is it differed by design and detail just like Kdes and Kdet?

The AISC Manual used to have two sections up front for the rolled section dimensions, one for detailers and detailing rounded to 1/16ths. +/-, the other for design with dimensions shown in decimal numbers and including section mechanical properties. These have been combined in the later manuals and the table you show. Structural detailers just don’t detail to 100ths. of an inch for the fab shop or for erection.
