I recall many years ago BBCs tommorows world showing a method of tenderising a side of beef by connecting the fore and hind legs to a pulsed heavy curent 600v DC supply until it stopped kicking therby relieving the muscles of all tension.

We used to do that to heat frankfurters when at school. I don't know if it was poisonous products from electrolysis or bad moonshine that made us sick. Probably a combination.

I wish I had one! But we used hook-up wire wrapped around the ends. Worked well with the 220 V we had then (230 V nowadays).

I always used nails hammered through a board for my hot-dogs.. Never much liked the smell thou.. Nasty safety issues. [lol]

Naw, just plain ones, but they still seemed to taint the meat. (If that is what you want to call hotdogs.)
