My university lab stores samples in a automated carousel under LN2.

We are interested in ways of visually inspecting the sample dewar.

So far a medical borescope has been used. The clarity is good, but it has a rigid shaft, and retrictive field of view.

Anyone have ideas about seeing under LN2?

I don't have any first hand experience making a clear container for LN2, but it's been done. In fact, it's been done for LHe using a double vacuum arangement with LN2 between the two sets of vacuums. Look on YouTube for demonstrations on superconductivity. There were some dating back about 40 or 50 years that showed the apparatus nicely. If you can't find them, I might be able to locate them off business hours.

There's also some information you should look through here:

It's a computer box using Borofloat clear panels. If you follow all the links, you'll get pictures and details on how it was done.

Glass dewars can be made that are transparent or have a small window where there is no reflective coating.
