I have a project in which I am trying to dampen the vibration from a circulation pump that circulates water around a tub at a noise level of 85-92 db. The total weight of the tub, liquid and contents is 9,071 lbs over an area of 4’8” x 9’-7”. I can’t use spring isolators due to space restrictions. I would like to find a pad type isolator that can be laid between the steel frame work and the tub frame.

Years ago I used an ethafoam product that was about 2” thick as a pad isolator, but I haven’t been able to find any design information on that material. Does anyone know of any similar material, with documented design characteristics, that might work and where I can get it?
