Can I determine what camera angle was used to develop a view in drafting?
We have a drawing that was developed with the views not normal to any plane or axis system.
This is not typical for our standard approach.
Our cmm department needs to have an axis system or plane to represent the view orientation(s).

Thanks,
Rick

I found the solution.
View Plane Definition on the view will give you the vector.
Then create an axis using the 2 vectors.

Ricky,

I tried to learn something from you thread, but I can't figure it out.......
What good could we get from this thread?

Create a line from 0,0,0 to vector 1 coordinates. Create a line from 0,0,0 to vector 2 coordinates. Create an axis at 0,0,0 with the 2 lines as x and y. This axis will give you the view orientation. In our case we needed the axis vectors for our cmm software to check dimensions that were placed in a slightly skewed view.
