We have some above ground steel pipework with polypropylene (PP) coating in a petro-chemical plant.
Whilst the PP coating has proved to be a very robust for buried pipeline useage, we understand that it will degrade over time in sunlight.
We believe we have 2 options:
a) Strip PP off and use epoxy paint system. This will be time consuming and relatively expensive.
b) Paint or wrap PP to provide UV protection (10 to 15 year design life required).
Does anybody know of products suitable for b). They need to adhere to PP, be UV stable and preferably come in a rnage of colours?
