using the 8031 microcontroller in a traffic light control system

i need help with the assembler code for using the 8031 in a traffic light control system.. i have tried but failed miserably... i am also using infrared sensors that will detect cars and activate the traffic light...

HELP!!!

If YOU have done your functional analysis of the system and defined the requirements,
I do not know why it would be real hard to write the code. I hope you obtained a emulator to debug your code and to trouble shoot problems.
