Using of SS tube instead of Hose at Co cylinder

we are facing the problem of hose damaged at co cylinder connection. we would like to use the 1/4" tube (with coil- for little flexibility as shown in attached sketch ) instead of hose to solve leak issue. can it be done ? i tried to find standards practice for Carbon monoxide Cylinder connection, but not found. is it any violation of standards or any Hazards ?
