I'm talking about acronyms used in this group that is only understood by this group.

If we're going to have a list of acronyms then why not some hints on how best to use the forum e.g.

If it's a question about standards or related issue then give the standards you work to or at least the country and industry so we can make an educated guess.

Most regular posters seem to work to ASME Y14.5M-1994. Answers based on this aren't necessarily helpfull to someone working in civil engineering in Europe!
