ACI limits the temperature differencial between parts of conrete during the curing process. To monitor this thermal couplers are placed in the concrete during the pour. What brand names would you recommend for use. My company specifies the use of them, but not the best brand to use. Any input would be helpful!

Thanks,

Forrest

First of all, they are "thermocouples" not thermal couplers. There are numerous suppliers, but the thermocouples are rather simple devices so brand names are often not given or necessary.

I would place more emphasis on the measurement instrument than the thermocouple itself.

Check with James Instruments (they sell a maturity meter and monitoring device) or Omega Instruments (thermocouples and readout devices) or MicroMeasurements (same).

Ron,

Shortly after I posted this I realized that my spelling was wrong which was hurting my search results! Thank you for the clarifications and leads. The fun part about this, is I am in Saudi Arabia so I also have to sort out how to get them in country.

Regards,

Forrest

Forrest,
Good luck. Shouldn't be too difficult. Testing labs have been doing it for years in Saudi.
