Hello all,
Is there a way to update a rev table on the drawing without having to delete it and insert a new one? Some of our rev tables have 20+ revisions and if we insert a new one we have to mnaually retype all the descriptions for each rev. I would like to be able to change the rev table format (maybe font size, bold, etc) and then point to it and update to the new one while retaining all the info.

Thanks,
BB

Hello all,

We have found some drawings where the text and columns in the revision table do not meet the standards of our current revision tabe. To keep it simple let's just say that someone here created a revision table in 2009 with size 10 text and we updated this revision table to use size 8 text. When I come across drawings created with the size 10 text I would like to be able to update the table to the new revision table file that should convert the text to size 8 without deleting the table and inserting a new one.

Hope this helps,
BB

I'm a bit confused.
You have a rev table with revisions/descriptions/etc.
What exactly is needing updated? If you need to only change the text size, row height, etc...left-click on the table, then right-click on the gray border, go to formatting.

If you're not seeing the font formatting options, click on the leftmost icon ... Black A on yellow background.

Thanks to all,

The issue has been resolved.

I have decided not to fix the problem because I must keep moving forward. I have informed the higher authorities here that the problem exists and have washed my hands of it.

Sorry, not a global solution but a single one.

I still don't understand what the real problem is or was, but feel compelled to point out that Rev Tables are not limited to single alpha notations. After the singles are used up, the doubles begin. (AA,AB,AC,etc).

And as Chris stated, the font format can be adjusted, so there is no need to overwrite or reload the Rev Table.
