...there's an update on this situation, and it's not good, at least not if people were looking for some sort of criminal resolution to this:

So nothing to do with the evidence itself, just the way it was presented.

I hope this finds a way to go to trial. The level of mismanagement and incompetence needs to be seen in open court.

The article only says they dropped the 2nd degree murder charge. There will undoubtedly be new charges filed, just not for 2nd degree murder.

Sounds like the prosecutors over-reached on the indictment. Other articles I read indicated they were going to have a hard time convicting as well.
