Units in Material Database

I am reviewing some material properties in the SW material database (Ctopher's download), and have a question on how to change the units. When I go to edit a material, on the Physical Properties tab, I would like to be able to change the Tensile Strength (name: SIGXT), Yield Strength (name: SIGYLD), etc to more standard values to save on conversion time. Currently these values are in N/in^2, and would like them in MPa or ksi. Is this possible?

As far as I know, the unit function is automatic and uneditable. It chooses unit for you, based on the unit scheme you've picked. I and I'm sure others have had issues trying to convert into SW's funky material units. On the Inches units, they often mix and match derived units a metric with inch. Not fun.

Matt is correct. I wish there was an option to change it automatically. There may be a third party app that may work, but I have not looked.

I have tried changing to different units in the database, but the properties get really messed up.

I have not used the MatWeb materials, maybe they have the option?

MatWeb will list Metric and English values, but even these are not consistent between their various material lists.
