Unit Conversions and/or Mismatched Units

I'll bet this a sore point for NX users everywhere including myself, but I'm going to ask it anyways...

With NX 9 or 10 is there any new way to convert a part, other than the ug_convert_part.exe, from its current unit set into another, especially when working within Teamcenter.
If not does anyone know if Siemens plans any future version of NX that will have this much needed function that most other CAD systems have had for years.
Also is there any new functionality where metric and inch models can function equally when located within the same assembly model. It boggles my mind you can't work within an inch part while in a metric assembly or vice versa.

I've not tried anything in NX10, but for NX9 it's just as painful as it's always been.

We are aware of these issues and there are R&D efforts looking into some potential future solutions. Note that by 'future', we're referring to something beyond the current versions of NX that under development.
