Hi to all,

I am working on a coupled thermal/flow model of simple system and I've tried to solve it with NX4. Basically, it was a PTFE tube with a fluid flowing in it. I've modeled the system in the Modeling app. and started Adv. Simulation with only the Flow simulation. I 3d meshed the fluid and also 2d meshed the inner surface of the tube. Also added material to the fluid (water), put a surface boundary, outlet and opening.

However, among others, the solver warned me that 99.9% of the surfaces are not in contact. Tried to make denser meshes with same results. I also tried to model the tube and fluid with square cross section just to make the contacting surfaces more simple (flat instead of curved) but got the same warning. In the meantime I've been reading the documentation but couldn't find the solution.

What am I doing wrong? Any help would be highly appreciated,

Are the subdivisions and mesh similar (coincident nodes) at the 2D and 3D element interface?
