ACI-318-08/UBC Load Combination States

1.2D+1.0E

Where E = Earthquake Load

UBC 97 Section 1630 States

E= p Eh + Ev,
Em= Omega Eh,

Where Eh = Base shear V.

My question is

1. Does Staad, Sap consider this equations when doing auto generation for load combination. because i checked staad for seismic on self wt and it used the E = V, which by above equations is not right. I assume software is doing it right and i am not looking it correctly .. so if any one can explain .... please do.

2. what are the conditions (If any ) in which i can take E= V?

p= 2-20/Rmax*sqrt(AB)

Say i am designing a Pipe Rack or an equipment structure, What shall i use in AB? there is no slab element...

CAN ANY ONE HELP ME OUT HERE?... AND EXPLAIN HOW THIS WORKS
