We have a requirement to run some vibration tests at very low frequency and very high displacements and we are having difficulty finding a U.S. test house that can accomodate it.

The requirement is approximately 11 inches of displacement at around 2 Hz. We've looked at the usual suspects like NTS, Garwood (Stork/EastWest) but they can't achieve these displacements.

We're thinking the automotive industry might be able to achieve these requirements, but being from a different industry, we don't have any contacts.

11 inches is pushing it for cars, but trucks and AFVs and aircraft probably use 300 mm stroke stuff.

You could try contacting MTS or Moog, they supply the rigs.

Good point about MTS or Moog. We'll try them. Aerospace usually needs less than 2" of displacement and in fact most of the parts we run are in the tenths of inches.
