Hello Everyone,

The company i represent is looking to obtain a certification for a 750kW wind turbine it wants to manufacture. The turbine currently has an up to date certification, however it is for the 50hz, european version. We of course will need to manufacture one of the 60hz variety. Will the modifications to the turbine be significant enough to void the existing certification?

I know the question is a little open ended, but any information will be appreciated.

thanks

If your 60Hz market is the US, IEC61400 probably won't mean a thing to anybody. If your 60Hz market uses IEC standards somebody familiar with those standards will have to weigh in.
