Hi,
I am trying to create a model of a box girder bridge which contains of a rectangular hole in the center with a varying cross section.
My problem, is that I am wondering what would be the best way to go about this.
I have tried to create two areas (there are 51 different areas total) and tried to create a volume by connecting two varying cross sectional areas at a time, but I get an error message. To create one area, there are 14 different nodes (this is an odd shape). The error says "only one line of line one is used" and the volume is not created.
I have also tried to create a volume arbitrary by connecting keypoints, however when I try to connect the two areas (28 nodes in all), it says that the lines are twisted.
Is there an easier way to do this? How does one create a complex solid model with so many different size cross sectional areas?
thank you
