I have a quick question. While reviewing drawings related to offshore electrical construction, I came across the terms 'Trimmer steel' and 'Kick Plate.' Could you explain what these mean in the context of electrical work? It would be great if some pictures could be provided for clarity.
Thanks in advance!

Kick plate sounds like "armor" for the bottom of a wood door, those are sheet metal maybe stainless in bathrooms just for convenience i guess.

Trimmer is sometimes used as a term for wood studs adjacent to an opening that the header above the opening sits on. Jack stud is the other term that is used (king studs are full height, then).

Not sure these terms apply on your drawing.
