Hello,

In my Abaqus model, I defined the iron elements as plastic materials. As a result of the analysis, which components should I choose to draw the tresca (stress-strain)? When I select tresca directly, it takes it as stress-displacement. Or how can I prove whether the iron has reached its yield strength?

Thank you.

Abaqus has the cast iron plasticity model. There's no built-in Tresca plasticity criterion but you can use the Tresca equivalent stress (maximum difference between principal stresses) output just like you would use the Mises stress.

Thank you for your return. My material is wrought iron. I defined it as true stress strain. That's why I need to subtract whether it has reached its yielding point.
