I am doing a simulation on a single 3D element considering it as a cohesive element and studying it.
I have implemented the trapezoidal cohesive law for which you have to input maximum stress and displacement & damage variable(i calculated the values from the literature and input it) .
The problem whic is face is when I plot the results for stress, I see that the stress values are not the same (almost double) before it starts to decrease and i also checked that the Damage Initiation criteria (quads damage which i gave) is not satisfied.
Can anyone help me with this problem?
